If a company chooses to tackle the area of e-learning itself and also to create the content for it itself, there is a certain challenge. The most obvious point here is that the above-mentioned initial effort is borne by the company. This means that employees spend their time creating videos, preparing presentations and/or creating questionnaires. On the other hand, a self-created e-learning offer offers the possibility to design it completely by itself and tailor it to the company's own needs. In order to have some advantage in terms of new SAP technologies, suitable PoCs (Proof of Concepts), research and pilot projects must be initiated to build know-how and evaluate boundary conditions or feasibility. Furthermore, this serves the evaluation of new business models by the underlying technology in collaboration with the respective business unit.
INTRODUCTION OF A COMPANY-WIDE INTERFACE DEPARTMENT
The tasks of a company's own SAP Basis department are currently undergoing enormous change, as SAP is also increasingly relying on cloud services. Strategically, completely self-hosted SAP systems are becoming rarer and the proportion of customers using an SAP system from the cloud is increasing. The database layer is used to store all company data and consists of the database management system (DBMS) and the data itself.
