SAP Authorization Concept
ITIL stands for The IT Infrastructure Library. ITIL is a summary of "best practices" rules for professional implementation of IT service management. ITIL has established itself as an international standard in the area of IT business processes. The ITIL set of rules describes the processes, the organizational structure and the tools required for IT infrastructure. Understanding the structure and functioning of the system is particularly important for IT administration. It is not for nothing that "SAP Basis Administrator" is a career field in its own right. Instead of data and application development, the focus here is on providing the software environment on which the company's tools are created. SAP Basis is therefore comparable to the server and platform infrastructure and its administration in companies - as distinct from application and web development.
Application of SNOTE and elimination of errors
Instead of data maintenance and application development, SAP Basis is more about providing and maintaining the software environment on which the data resides and is processed. Therefore, SAP Basis is an important core of any SAP infrastructure and is required in both previous versions such as R/3, as well as current versions such as S/4HANA 2021.
A partner agreement must be entered into for each supplier in the transaction WE20. Such an agreement shall determine how the electronic data are processed. Select the vendor partner type LI and create a new partner agreement. In this example, a new partner agreement is created for IDES AG as a supplier. Enter the vendor's partner number in the appropriate input field and select LI as the vendor's partner type. The next step is to define the output parameters. These specify how the outgoing data should be processed. The message type defines what kind of messages should be processed. The Output Options tab specifies the port to send the message to and the IDoc type. The IDoc base type ORDERS05 matches the ORDERS message. The Message Control tab defines which application should generate a message. In this case a message should be generated when a new order is created. If an order is placed for a product of IDES AG in the transaction ME21N, this order will be automatically sent in electronic form.
Use "Shortcut for SAP Systems" to accomplish many tasks in the SAP basis more easily and quickly.
So a direct manipulation as in other high level languages or servers is not possible.
The programmes which this is approved are controlled by the reginfo ACL file.
