The SAP basis as an organisational unit within a growing IT organisation is facing far-reaching changes. The growing number of technologies and the growing need for integration and collaboration with upstream and downstream IT departments means that the SAP basis is constantly growing. Examples of organisational concepts and further information can be found in chapters 7.6 and 9.4 of the Master's thesis.
Do you know how to execute SQL commands on the tables in your SAP system? In the past, I asked myself the same question when I wanted to run prepared Querys on a table without converting it to a query over the SE16N with appropriate filters. After my research, I came across a simple way to have your SQL statements resolved transaction-based by an editor. This is the approach I'll describe to you in the following post. You may know the situation that you want to quickly put a short SQL statement on your SAP system without having to invest much effort in ABAP programming. You may not have the ABAP knowledge to extract data from a table, but you are familiar with SQL.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND INNOVATIONS The role of IT is changing (bi-modal IT). On the SAP basis, this new bi-modal organisation is particularly true. On the one hand, it is necessary to continue to ensure the SAP operation in the usual stability and security, and on the other hand, to act as a business innovator in order to fulfil the role as a technology consultant for SAP technology. ADJUST SAP basis NAMING The original definition and naming of the SAP basis no longer meets today's task. Therefore, it is recommended to give the SAP basis a meaningful and contemporary description depending on the future organisation form. For example, the bi-modal role listed in Recommendation [A1] should be taken into account.
Once the UPL is activated, you can access the usage data as follows: Solution Manager: BW Query 0SM_CCL_UPL_MONTH (other predefined Querys available) Managed System: Report /SDF/SHOW_UPL Based on the UPL's data collection, you can now use additional functionalities of the CCLM to depick, for example, proprietary developments that are unused for a long time. Do you know the UPL of SAP and already use it to gain more information about its existing system landscape?
Tools such as "Shortcut for SAP Systems" complement missing functions in the SAP basis area.
In this scenario, no data is imported into the system, and you can continue to play in the event of an error without the error being corrected.
It is possible to specify a trace level for each rule in the ACL file to monitor each communication channel individually.
