Critical authorizations
Module
The goal is for SAP SuccessFactors users to maintain an overview of roles and authorizations in the system. Analysis and reporting tools help to achieve this. At ABS Team, we use our own combination of an SAP SuccessFactors solution and external documentation for this purpose. As the first graphic shows, our approach is built on a delta concept: all SAP authorizations and processes function independently of each other.

To support the safe operation of SAP systems, SAP offers a whole portfolio of services. We present the security services offered by SAP Active Global Support (AGS). The security of an SAP system in operation depends on many factors. There are several security features in the SAP standard, such as user management, authentication and encryption capabilities, web service security features, and the various authorisation concepts. Vulnerabilities in the standard software are also regularly fixed in SAP notes and support packages. You are responsible for the safe operation of your SAP system landscapes; so you need to incorporate these features and fixes into your systems. The AGS Security Services support you by bundling the experiences of the AGS into consolidated best practices. We introduce these services and describe how they help you gain an overview of the security of your operational concept.
Use the authorisation route to identify proposed values for customer developments
By default, the transactions from the role menu can be found here as derived authorization values. Over the value assistance (F4) can be called partially the available functions fields to these field.

The permission checks are logged as part of the system trace in transaction ST01. It records all permission checks and validated permission values for a specific application server, and specifies, depending on the client, whether the permission checks were successful or not. The Trace display has now been improved (see also SAP Note 1373111).

With "Shortcut for SAP systems" you can automate the assignment of roles after a go-live.

Here we show you how these permissions work and how you can restrict them.

Single role - Created using the role administration tool, it enables the automatic generation of an authorization profile.
